About the position

The HR Generalist at Family Endeavors Inc. plays a crucial role in communicating and providing guidance on human resources services, initiatives, and programs to employees. This position manages daily activities in general Human Resources with moderate supervision required. The HR Generalist assists in the development of human resources policies, programs, and practices, and is responsible for their implementation and administration. The role supports the organization's human resources operations with a strong emphasis on policies and procedures, ensuring that the HR function aligns with the overall goals of the organization. In this position, the HR Generalist will identify HR policy issues that may hinder hiring and retention efforts, notifying HR leadership to explore potential solutions. Building and maintaining strong relationships with organizational leadership is essential to ensure a clear understanding of the direction of organizational needs. The HR Generalist will handle all administrative tasks related to onboarding, including data entry into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance. The role also involves providing advice, guidance, and technical support to various organizational departments, anticipating needs based on market, recruitment, legislative, and legal trends. The HR Generalist will investigate, evaluate, and make recommendations regarding HR issues, responding proactively to requests in a timely manner while adhering to internal controls and reporting structures. Additionally, the HR Generalist will obtain and analyze market data to determine internal equity and market competitiveness, working closely with department leadership on the creation and evaluation of new positions. Organizing annual employee performance reviews, ensuring compliance with labor regulations, and providing support on various projects are also key responsibilities. The HR Generalist will be responsible for the development and maintenance of department policies and procedures, performing administrative duties accurately and in a timely manner. Representing the agency positively and professionally is vital, as is promoting the success and reputation of the agency and its programs. The HR Generalist is expected to demonstrate exceptional customer service, placing the child, family, Veteran, or client first to support the mission of empowering people to build better lives for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies HR policy issues that hinder hiring and retention efforts and notifies HR leadership for potential solutions.
  • Handles all administrative tasks for onboarding, including data entry into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provides advice, guidance, and technical support to organizational departments, anticipating needs based on market and legal trends.
  • Investigates, evaluates, and makes recommendations regarding HR issues, responding proactively to requests in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred; a combination of education and experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years of human resources experience, 5+ years preferred.
  • 1-2+ years of HRIS experience and 2+ years of Paycom experience preferred.
  • PHR certification or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Driver's License with a clear record.
  • Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.
  • Must be available and willing to travel to various locations as business needs dictate.
  • Must be available and willing to work occasional weekends as required.
