About the position

A local property management company is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join their busy, growing team. This role is responsible for assisting the personnel function within the company, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations concerning personnel, conducting interviews, and managing special projects. The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department and will be involved in various aspects of human resources management, including employee benefits administration, talent acquisition, and compliance with labor regulations. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with a starting pay of $32 per hour. The working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, and the position is fully on-site. Bilingual Spanish is considered a significant advantage for candidates applying for this role. The HR Generalist will assist in the administration of employee benefit programs, including health plans, life insurance plans, pre-tax benefits, and the 401(k) Employee Savings Plan, ensuring that all programs comply with federal and state regulations. Additionally, the role involves assisting with Worker's Compensation claims and conducting investigations as necessary. The HR Generalist will maintain accurate computerized personnel information by updating and deleting data on the HRIS in a timely manner. They will also provide support to employees on various HR-related topics, such as leaves and compensation, and will work to resolve any issues that may arise. Furthermore, the HR Generalist will assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies and ensure compliance with labor regulations, employee handbooks, and job descriptions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the administration of employee benefit programs like health plans, life insurance plans, pre-tax benefits, and 401(k) Employee Savings Plan to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Assist with Worker's Comp claims and running investigations.
  • Maintain accurate computerized personnel information by adding, updating and deleting data on HRIS in a timely manner.
  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations, employee handbooks and/or job descriptions.
