Phoenix Data Corporation is seeking a dynamic HR/Payroll Generalist to assist with payroll operations and support HR functions, with a key focus on recruitment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR practices, payroll processing, compliance regulations, and recruitment strategies. This role offers an opportunity to significantly impact our organization by ensuring smooth HR processes, supporting employee needs, and driving recruitment efforts to attract top talent. The HR/Payroll Generalist will play a crucial role in managing the full-cycle payroll processing, ensuring that all payroll calculations and tax filings are accurate and timely. Additionally, this position will administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with any inquiries related to their benefits. Maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations will also be a key responsibility of this role. In addition to payroll and benefits administration, the HR/Payroll Generalist will lead recruitment efforts. This includes drafting job descriptions, posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating the hiring process. The successful candidate will manage onboarding processes, preparing new hire documentation, and facilitating orientation for new employees. Developing and maintaining relationships with external recruitment sources to attract qualified candidates is essential, as is collaborating with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and ensure timely recruitment of quality candidates. The HR/Payroll Generalist will also provide HR support and guidance to employees regarding policies, procedures, and workplace issues, and assist with HR-related projects and initiatives as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle payroll processing, including timekeeping, payroll calculations, and tax filings
  • Ensure accurate and timely distribution of paychecks and related documentation
  • Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with benefit inquiries
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Lead recruitment efforts, including drafting job descriptions, posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating the hiring process
  • Manage onboarding processes, including preparing new hire documentation and facilitating orientation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Experience with HR/Payroll modules in ADP is a plus
  • Deltek/Costpoint experience is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR generalist, payroll roles, and recruitment
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency with payroll software (ADP preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
