About the position

The HR Generalist at IGS Energy plays a crucial role in partnering with employees and managers across the company's emerging businesses to deliver comprehensive HR solutions that align with strategic objectives. This pivotal position focuses on identifying, prioritizing, and enhancing HR capabilities to support business needs effectively. The HR Generalist will collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition, the Learning Team, and HR Operations to implement effective people strategies and initiatives that foster a positive workplace culture. In this role, the HR Generalist will support employee relations, performance management, and succession planning, driving actions backed by data. They will serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, working in partnership with managers to mediate and resolve conflicts, thereby maintaining a positive and productive work environment. Additionally, the HR Generalist will support the execution of employee engagement initiatives and programs that promote IGS Energy's culture of collaboration, innovation, and fun. The position also involves analyzing performance data to identify trends and recommend proactive solutions, developing talent strategies that impact employee succession, retention, and performance, and maintaining accurate HR records to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies. The HR Generalist will also partner and lead internal HR projects as needed, making this a dynamic and impactful role within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, mediating and resolving conflicts between employees.
  • Support the execution of employee engagement initiatives and programs that foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Assist in the performance management process by providing guidance to managers and employees.
  • Develop and implement performance improvement plans and navigate employee relations issues.
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends and recommend proactive solutions.
  • Collaborate with leaders to develop talent strategies impacting employee succession, retention, and performance.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Lead and partner on internal HR projects as needed.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience in Human Resources with an emphasis on employee relations.
  • Experience supporting a remote customer group is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local employment regulations.
  • Proven ability to understand and execute HR strategies to support business goals.
  • Solid understanding of HR practices and employment laws.
  • Effective communication and trust-building with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Flexibility, creativity, and collaboration in recruiting efforts.
  • Superior problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, solid judgment, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity in resolving issues and dealing with confidential matters.
  • Highly motivated and action-oriented with the ability to prioritize in an ever-changing environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • SPHR/PHR Certification is a plus.
