About the position

The HR Generalist at Stew Hansen/Ken Garff Automotive group will play a crucial role in managing full-cycle Human Resources processes across multiple dealership locations. This position is focused on fostering positive employee experiences and engagement, aligning with the company's core values of respect, integrity, growth, humility, and teamwork. The HR Generalist will work closely with the Regional HR Manager and support the dealership environment to create lifetime customers through effective HR practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage processes and activities related to full-cycle Human Resources.
• Foster positive employee experiences and engagement through company culture programs.
• Facilitate training in partnership with Regional HR and the business.
• Conduct weekly onboarding, benefits enrollment, and new hire activities.
• Initiate coaching and counseling to help managers with employee retention and performance.
• Handle leaves of absence processes and communication, including FMLA.
• Complete accident or injury reports and submit supporting documentation to corporate offices.
• Manage unemployment claims and other miscellaneous programs based on business needs.

Requirements

• 2+ years of HR consulting and/or generalist experience, preferably in a large company or retail environment.
• Experience leading culture initiatives with business partners.
• Exposure to employment law and practices, resolving employee relations issues.
• Knowledge of pay plans, pay structure, FLSA requirements, and employer-offered benefit plans.
• Experience presenting and outstanding communication skills.
• Ability to adapt and lead change efforts.
