The HR Generalist at Scientific Research Corporation plays a crucial role in managing various human resources functions, including employee orientation, recruitment, and benefits administration. This position is designed for a mid-level professional who will support the HR team in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conducting new employee orientation and exit interviews
• Responding to employee questions regarding company policies, procedures, and work-related problems
• Exercising judgment in providing pertinent information and assistance to authorized company personnel
• Maintaining and distributing current employee information, policy and procedure manuals, organization charts, and other communications
• Maintaining employee databases and compiling personnel statistics/reports as required
• Preparing complex charts, forms, and presentations using a variety of software packages
• Counseling employees regarding benefit eligibility and coverage
• Making recommendations to HR Manager for benefit additions and changes
• Assisting in preparation and presentation of unemployment claims
• Administering salary changes and counseling managers when necessary
• Reviewing pay, classification, and grade changes for conformance with policy
• Writing job descriptions
• Counseling managers on Affirmative Action requirements
• Recruiting, screening, and interviewing job applicants
• Providing technical guidance to lower level employees
• Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 2 years work-related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Organizational skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of personnel management practices
