About the position

FabFitFun is seeking an HR Generalist to join our HR team, responsible for providing a best-in-class employee experience across the employee lifecycle, including employee relations, talent programs, and performance management. This role requires onsite work in a hybrid environment and focuses on supporting HR initiatives and maintaining compliance with employment laws.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the point of contact to answer employee questions and coach managers and employees on various HR topics.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support for HR initiatives, including leave of absence, immigration, trainings/workshops, and onboarding/offboarding.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HRIS system (Paycom), as well as team shared drives and knowledge sharing sources.
  • Write, review, and update employee handbook, policies, and employee-facing documentation on HR programs.
  • Assist in conducting workplace investigations and resolving issues in accordance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Address employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion, ensuring concerns are resolved effectively.
  • Stay informed of employment laws and regulations to ensure company compliance and proactivity.
  • Help with other facets of the People Operations team, including New Hire Orientation and Company Culture/Events.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience as an HR Coordinator/Generalist
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Psychology, or Human Resources
  • General knowledge of employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, and Leave of Absences
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow-through and attention to detail
  • Intermediate MS Office skills, specifically in Excel and PowerPoint (or similar Google Suite applications)
  • Ability to respect strict confidentiality regarding employee information
  • Motivation and capability to rapidly develop HR-related knowledge and skills
  • Ability to take initiative and identify opportunities for improvement

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with HRIS systems preferred (Paycom a plus!)
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP is a plus
