We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist will be responsible for performing a range of human resources, payroll, and benefits duties; including preparing and submitting payroll and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and communication skills and have a strong desire to learn and grow. This position requires a proactive approach to managing HR functions and ensuring compliance with various regulations. The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting the overall HR strategy and will be involved in various initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction. The HR Generalist will process weekly and biweekly payroll, administer benefits-related programs and procedures for company personnel, and coordinate the recruitment process. This includes conducting new hire orientations, processing new hire forms, conducting background checks, and verifying I-9 documentation. The HR Generalist will also assist with drafting handbook policies and procedures, approve vendor invoices for payment, and write job descriptions as needed. Additionally, the role involves managing the performance review program, participating in salary surveys, and providing required reporting for the management team and government organizations. The HR Generalist will participate in the annual audit process and provide support to external auditors as needed. Ensuring compliance with rules and regulations including COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, and ERISA is a critical aspect of this role. The HR Generalist will serve as a liaison and maintain working relationships with Ohio BWC, MCO, and legal representatives, attending hearings as necessary. Furthermore, the HR Generalist will administer the Ohio BWC Drug Free Workplace program and develop and implement procedures regarding post-accident/incident, return to work, and drug testing as related to injury/incident and safety work practices.
