About the position

The HR Generalist role at Tokyo Electron Limited involves supporting various HR functions, including employee relations, onboarding, project coordination, and compliance with employment laws. The position is designed to facilitate effective communication within the HR team and across departments, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and supporting performance management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support employee relations, including handling minor corrective actions, investigations, and conflict resolution.
  • Administer and assist in employee onboarding and orientation processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Assist in the coordination of HR projects, including developing project plans, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the HR team and across departments.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluation, and feedback through regular leadership communication.
  • Assist leadership with available resources on the internal leadership toolbox.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and concerns, providing prompt and effective solutions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist in maintenance of HRIS system data, ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a human resources generalist role, with a strong emphasis on tactical HR responsibilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Effective and diplomatic interpersonal and communication skills with employees of all levels, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical mindset, with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and work with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Customer service mindset: provide frequent counsel and accurate information to employees in a timely manner.
