About the position

Ocean Spray is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic team. As a farmer-owned co-op, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture where every team member contributes to our mission. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting various HR functions, ensuring that our policies and practices are effectively communicated and implemented across the organization. Your responsibilities will encompass managing employee relations, facilitating the recruitment process, and administering HR policies and procedures. You will work closely with the HR team to provide guidance on HR-related matters and ensure that employee records are maintained accurately. A typical day in this position involves implementing recruitment activities for assigned business units to ensure adequate staffing. You will partner with the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, agencies, and recruiters to manage the entire staffing process from inception to onboarding. Additionally, you will assist in establishing and implementing HR processes, programs, and training initiatives. Your role will also include executing HR administrative paperwork to keep key employee information up-to-date and accurate. You will collaborate with other HR professionals on various issues such as compensation, benefits, management development, training, and performance management, ensuring that deliverables are met in a timely manner. Handling employee relations issues confidentially is a key aspect of this role. You will provide excellent customer service through your availability, responsiveness, and follow-through, ensuring that employees feel supported and valued. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong ability to build relationships within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage employee relations and provide support to employees on HR-related matters.
  • Facilitate the recruitment process, including managing staffing activities from inception to onboarding.
  • Assist in the establishment and implementation of HR processes, programs, and training.
  • Execute HR administrative paperwork to ensure employee information is accurate and up-to-date.
