About the position

At Lake Huron Medical Center, we are seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, providing comprehensive support across various HR functions. The HR Generalist will ensure the effective administration of human resources policies and procedures, while also engaging in high-level professional duties that encompass affirmative action, acquisition projects, and legal compliance with applicable state and federal guidelines. This position is full-time, requiring a commitment of 40+ hours per week, typically from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with additional hours as necessary to meet the demands of the role. The HR Generalist will work closely with all levels of the organization, providing support and guidance on a wide range of HR issues. This includes managing employee relations, recruitment processes, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple deadlines, and a keen attention to detail. Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or closely related field preferred.
  • PHR, SPHR, or relevant human resources certifications or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in Human Resources, with 2 years in healthcare preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Strong computer knowledge including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
