About the position

As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the HR department by overseeing various HR functions and initiatives. Your responsibilities will include implementing strategic planning, managing administrative tasks, and utilizing HR software such as Oracle and iCIMS. You will be involved in change management, social media management, and effective communication with employees. Additionally, you will engage in data collection using tools like Paylocity and PeopleSoft to support HR operations. This position is essential for aligning HR strategies with organizational goals and ensuring smooth HR processes. Your duties will encompass developing and implementing strategic HR plans, handling administrative tasks related to employee records, benefits administration, and HR policies. You will maintain all employee personnel files, conduct periodic audits, and prepare and present reports. Organizing, tracking, and archiving policies and procedures for the organization will also be part of your role. You will assist in coordinating benefit meetings and documentation processing for health and retirement plans, as well as tracking leaves of absence, including short-term and long-term disability, FMLA, and personal leave. Moreover, you will assist with leave of absence requests, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely communication with employees regarding their leave entitlements, approvals, and denials. Developing and facilitating HR-specific training and support materials for managers and employees will be another key responsibility. You will also conduct annual benefits open enrollment training and perform other duties as assigned. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Compensation and Benefits Specialist in tracking leaves of absences including short-term and long-term disability, FMLA, and personal leave
  • Process leave requests, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely communication with employees regarding leave entitlements, approvals, and denials
  • Develop and facilitate human resources specific training and support materials for managers and employees
  • Conduct annual benefits open enrollment training
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Proven experience in strategic planning within an HR setting
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Experience in social media management for HR purposes is a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in data collection and analysis
