This role is pivotal in evaluating the talent needs of the Distribution division and designing effective strategies to meet those needs. The HR Generalist will manage the daily operations of the HR department, which includes hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay and benefits, managing leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. The position requires collaboration with Distribution Center leaders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance with employment laws. The HR Generalist will be responsible for reviewing, tracking, and documenting compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, including safety training and professional licensure. This role involves recruiting and interviewing qualified candidates for open positions, conducting background checks, and facilitating new hire orientations. Additionally, the HR Generalist will handle employment-related inquiries, attend disciplinary meetings, and maintain knowledge of trends and best practices in human resources. This position requires a proactive approach to managing HR programs, including compensation, benefits, performance management, and employee morale. The HR Generalist will also be tasked with maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, ensuring that the organization adheres to recommended best practices.
