We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our growing HR Team at our Teaneck, NJ office (Working full-time at the office). In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and connectivity of our employees to programs and resources - with a focus on creating positive experiences at every step of the employee journey. This role is also essential to maintaining compliance with all employment regulations and ensuring employee data is diligently kept. Must be able to thoughtfully collaborate with and properly intersect work responsibilities with team members across our HRBP, Org & TA Org. A day in the life and how you'll make an impact includes preparing paperwork and schedules for a smooth new-hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience. You will handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and audits for accuracy and compliance. Additionally, you will process HR payroll processing, including biweekly and semimonthly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, vacation/sick pay, expense reimbursements, hourly-employee validations, and benefits changes. Continuously ensuring that human resources functions are administered in a manner consistent with federal, state, and local law as well as job safety, health, and employee relations is also a key responsibility. You will become the content expert of ADP (and the app), and the point person to resolve day-to-day employee inquiries. In collaboration with the HR Director, you will ensure that the ADP system and any related platforms meet the organization's needs, are diligently maintained to ensure the integrity of data and accuracy of reports, and are deployed to maximum effect. Participation in EEO, Unemployment, Wage & Hour, Worker's Compensation, OSHA, and ADA hearings as necessary will also be part of your role. Lastly, you will lead wellness activities with our Office manager across our US team and assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of the employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, contributing to policy development.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in human resources, business, or related field
  • 1+ years of HR experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
  • Ability to take initiative, learn new concepts/processes, and improve current processes
  • Ability to provide rapid, accurate response to confidential/sensitive requests and to handle confidential information
  • Ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous deliverables and work in a demanding environment
  • Knowledge of ADP software
  • Knowledge of national laws and regulations related to employment
