About the position

The Human Resources Generalist at Accelerated Analytical Laboratories is responsible for managing employee relations, payroll, accounts receivable and payable, and enforcing company policies. This role involves assisting in recruitment across departments, maintaining employment records, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and standards. The HR Generalist will work collaboratively with other team members and support various HR projects.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all job duties in accordance with laboratory procedures and policies.
  • Work cooperatively with others.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Able to lift 25 lbs comfortably.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, including verifying invoices and ensuring timely payments.
  • Ensure accurate payroll and record-keeping, including calculation of hours and deductions.
  • Monitor and reconcile financial transactions for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including financial reporting and audits.
  • Enter deposits into financial ledger.
  • Enter invoices into the system and send them out to customers.
  • Handle employee relation needs.
  • Interview applicants.
  • Assist the Human Resource Supervisor with projects.
  • Follow safety procedures and enforce compliance guidelines to meet HIPAA and OSHA standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in HR and accounting roles is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS/financial software and QuickBooks.
  • Previous experience in HR and Accounting preferred.
  • 2 years of experience with filing and records management.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
