About the position

The HR Generalist at Comoto Holdings plays a crucial role in supporting the Talent Team's mission to attract, develop, and retain a superior workforce. This position provides comprehensive human resources support to designated business units and company-wide initiatives, ensuring a positive employee experience through trust, guidance, and community engagement. The HR Generalist will be based on-site in North Las Vegas and will assist in supporting the larger Comoto Fulfillment Network and Shared Services.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact on employment-related policy and program issues, providing counseling to employees and managers.
  • Monitor employee relations-related actions, decisions, and communications to ensure sound employee relations practices.
  • Administer employee recognition programs and coordinate employee events.
  • Serve as a member of Culture Riders to support and coordinate employee-driven events, managing the committee budget and setting meetings and agendas.
  • Coordinate the employee onboarding process, including paperwork and conducting new employee orientation.
  • Respond to requests for employment verification and answer routine employee questions regarding benefits and payroll.
  • Ensure unemployment claims and garnishment claims are processed accurately.
  • Assist with the execution of annual HR processes and identify ways to innovate and improve internal HR processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws for HR systems in place.
  • Own all aspects of employee data in the HRIS system for payroll and benefits processing.
  • Maintain and update employee records in accordance with Department of Labor requirements.
  • Run, post, and distribute monthly reports, including headcount and bonus accruals.
  • Learn the full benefits package to answer routine questions and assist in processing enrollments and updates.
  • Facilitate ongoing wellness initiatives and events and administer the company's workers compensation program.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in human resources processes or a related field.
  • Willingness to learn and continue professional development.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and stay calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly via email.
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Professional language and attitude with discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with independence in work.
  • Ability to create and present initiatives and policies to groups.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Docs Software.
  • Strong working knowledge of QR Codes, quick links, and embed codes.

Nice-to-haves
