About the position

The US LBM HR Generalist is responsible for administering human resource programs that establish and maintain effective associate relations and ensure compliance with government regulations. This hybrid role involves coordinating HR projects for both corporate and field locations, focusing on employee onboarding, offboarding, and associate relations investigations, while also supporting various HR initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the local HR contact for field location managers, supervisors, and associates.
  • Manage the employee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Conduct associate relations investigations, document findings, and provide recommendations.
  • Assist managers with performance conversations and the progressive discipline process.
  • Support training plans and the execution of required annual training.
  • Assist with recruitment, benefits, and learning & organizational development efforts.
  • Communicate and implement HR policies and procedures effectively.
  • Develop, monitor, analyze, and report on HR metrics and trends.
  • Provide end-user support to HR and management.
  • Coordinate HR programs to ensure compliance with EEO, E-Verify, OFCCP, and other regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of HR or related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with associates at various levels.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, project, and process management skills.
  • Knowledge of HR principles and practices, and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to manage confidential data and information.
  • Conflict management and influencing skills.
  • Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with HR metrics and reporting tools.
