About the position

The Human Resource Generalist at Pei Genesis Inc. will oversee the daily operations of the HR department, focusing on hiring, employee benefits administration, and policy enforcement. This role is essential for maintaining compliance with employment laws and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Run daily functions of the HR department including hiring and interviewing staff.
  • Administer pay, benefits, and leave for employees.
  • Enforce company policies and practices.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training.
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants.
  • Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Administer human resource programs including compensation, benefits, and leave.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants and employees.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on trends and best practices in human resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of human resource experience.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
