About the position

HITT Contracting is seeking an HR Generalist to assist with the day-to-day operations of Human Resources. This role serves as the first line of support for team members, helping them navigate policies, training, benefits, payroll, and compliance. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-performance environment and contribute to a best-in-class employee experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages various HR email distributions and responds to team member questions related to policies, benefits, and leave.
• Executes tier 1 tasks for HR functions, such as providing instructions for leave claims and enrolling team members in training courses.
• Escalates non-entry-level tasks to appropriate functional experts in a timely manner.
• Generates HR metrics and reports for HR leaders and business stakeholders to identify trends.
• Maintains accurate employee records and ensures data integrity in HR systems.
• Supports new hire orientation administration and serves as a backup to the Onboarding Specialist.
• Coordinates and schedules weekly Red Buckets to promote culture and collaborates on special events.
• Assists with planning and execution of internal HR team engagement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 1-3 years of generalist-related experience
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
• Thorough attention to detail
• Experience with Workday is a plus
• Experience in EEO, FLSA, OFCCP, FMLA, and ADA regulations
• Strong teamwork and collaborative skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands
• Experience with MS Excel and Word products
• Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information
