About the position

The HR Generalist at Kenco Logistics Services, LLC is responsible for supporting day-to-day human resources operations, including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and payroll management. This role emphasizes building sustainable relationships with employees and site leadership while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws. The HR Generalist will also provide guidance on policy application and best practices, contributing to a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide counseling and coaching to employees and management regarding employee relations and company policies.
  • Recommend and administer corrective action plans, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
  • Administer company policies, programs, and benefits, acting as a liaison with corporate for change management.
  • Coordinate and facilitate benefit meetings during open enrollment.
  • Process new hire and termination paperwork, maintaining accurate employee data in the system.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Perform recruiting duties for non-exempt positions, including job advertisement and interviewing.
  • Complete onboarding functions for new employees, including orientation and training coordination.
  • Perform routine reporting functions to support the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred, or equivalent years of experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources with progressive duties in employee relations, recruiting, benefits, and compensation.
  • Prior experience in warehousing, third-party logistics, or distribution centers preferred.
  • Experience in a leadership role and/or managing others is desired.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with UltiPro or similar HR systems.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
