About the position

The HR Generalist position at Supreme Staffing is a temporary role focused on delivering comprehensive recruiting and onboarding services to manufacturing operations. This role is pivotal in managing the full-cycle recruitment process for non-exempt positions, which includes developing job descriptions, posting advertisements, reviewing resumes, conducting phone screens, interviewing candidates, extending job offers, and overseeing background screening procedures. The HR Generalist will also be responsible for scheduling pre-employment drug tests and physical screenings, as well as conducting background checks, drug screenings, and reference checks. As the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the interview process, the HR Generalist will communicate status updates and answer any questions candidates may have. Building applicant sources is a key responsibility, which involves researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media outlets, and internet sites to provide information about the organization, job opportunities, and benefits. The HR Generalist will also make presentations and maintain rapport with these sources. Additionally, the role requires arranging management interviews by coordinating schedules, organizing travel, lodging, and meals for candidates, and escorting applicants to interviews. The HR Generalist will prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends related to recruitment. It is essential to protect the organization's value by maintaining confidentiality and complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements. This includes studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to these requirements, and advising management on necessary actions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for non-exempt positions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in Human Resources in a manufacturing and distribution environment.
  • At least three years of previous HR administrative, office, data entry, or clerical work experience.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel to run reports and format data.
  • Familiarity with ATS, E-verify, and other recruiting tools.
  • Thorough understanding of EEO legislation and other applicable recruiting laws.
