Summit Funding, Inc. is seeking an HR Generalist to join our dynamic team in Sacramento, CA. In this role, you will provide boutique-level service to managers and team members across our multi-state organization. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, policy implementation, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. We are looking for innovative and collaborative individuals who can leverage their hands-on experience to enhance our current policies and practices. Although this position does not involve direct supervision, strong leadership skills and the ability to influence others are essential. Our HR Department is known for its fast-paced, fun, and collaborative work environment, providing ample opportunities to expand your HR experience. The HR Generalist will partner with all levels of management to align business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. You will create and evaluate reports to apply statistical modeling and analysis of employee-related factors to improve business outcomes. Collaborating with the HR Team, you will respond to inquiries regarding compensation, employee relations, leaves of absence, health and safety, benefits, and other HR matters. Additionally, you will investigate and escalate complex issues to ensure consistency, fairness, and legal compliance. Your role will also involve providing ongoing support and consultation regarding healthcare changes, new benefit options, industry trends, claims, policy changes, and billing. You will recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve departmental efficiency and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations. Special projects may also be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support benefits administration and employee relations.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of HR experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • PHR Certification preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Excel and pivot tables.
  • Familiarity with Human Resource Information Systems (ATS, HRIS, etc.).
