About the position

The HR Generalist at SPI Staffing is responsible for managing various human resources functions within a manufacturing setting. This role involves overseeing benefits administration, payroll, and compliance with employment laws, while also providing support to employees and management. The HR Generalist will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace environment and ensuring that HR policies are effectively implemented.

Responsibilities

• Manage benefits administration and payroll processes.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Provide support and guidance to employees regarding HR policies and procedures.
• Assist in the management of workers' compensation claims.
• Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
• Conduct new employee orientations and onboarding processes.
• Support recruitment efforts and employee engagement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related discipline and at least 3 years of HR experience, or a high school diploma with 5+ years of HR work experience.
• Experience with payroll, benefits administration, and workers' compensation.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Previous HR experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus.
