About the position

The Human Resources Generalist at Orange County Rescue Mission is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions. This role involves delivering training and instruction in various technical and operational areas, as well as handling responsibilities across multiple HR functional areas including payroll, employee relations, training and development, and benefits administration. The HR Generalist plays a key role in fostering a positive employee culture and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage the administration of day-to-day HR operations.
• Deliver group and individual training covering technical and operational areas.
• Assist with recruitment and employee relations.
• Maintain employee files and records.
• Administer compensation and benefits programs.
• Ensure employee safety and wellness reporting.
• Supervise Front Desk Staff.
• Facilitate and participate in company-wide committees.
• Communicate effectively with employees regarding HR matters.
• Develop and conduct training programs and materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 2-3 years of job-related work experience in HR.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a diverse environment.
