About the position

As the HR Generalist at Unicity International, you will play a pivotal role in the human resources department, serving as the first point of contact for employees and guests. This position requires adaptability and a proactive approach, as each day presents unique challenges and opportunities. You will be responsible for providing a variety of human resource services to HR leaders, managers, supervisors, and employees, ensuring that the HR functions run smoothly and efficiently. Your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, from managing front desk operations to supporting employee onboarding and recognition programs. You will also be involved in administering health and welfare plans, processing payroll documents, and assisting with recruitment efforts. The HR Generalist position is integral to fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting the overall mission of Unicity to promote metabolic health and improve quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Manage front desk responsibilities such as phone calls, mail/packages and assisting guests/visitors.
  • Support the administration of employee policies and procedures.
  • Conduct employee orientations.
  • Prepare new employee files through our HRIS.
  • Manage badges and parking passes for our Las Vegas office.
  • Complete onboarding processes such as I9's, payroll paperwork, benefits enrollment etc.
  • Assist with maintenance of employee files in our HRIS.
  • Coordinate employee events and community events as they happen.
  • Oversee employee recognition programs.
  • Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations.
  • Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
  • Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Assist recruiting team with background and drug screening of new hires.
  • Reconcile benefits statements and ensure that they are paid in a timely manner.
  • Assist with processing of terminations.
  • Assist with the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Schedule meetings and interviews as requested by the director of HR.
  • Make photocopies; mail, scan and email documents; and perform other clerical functions.
  • File documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Assist or prepare correspondence as requested.
  • Assist the Human Resource leadership team in any day to day activities.

  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to establish trust and credibility with the leadership team.
