About the position

Kinder Morgan is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Instructional Designer to join their team. This role focuses on designing and developing training initiatives, particularly in leadership development and Human Resources training programs, for both online and virtual delivery. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in instructional design to create engaging learning experiences that meet the needs of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with HR professionals and business leaders to identify and understand business training and development needs.
• Design and develop engaging and interactive online training programs that adhere to adult learning theory best practices.
• Create comprehensive virtual instructor-led training materials, including slides, handouts, and facilitator/participant guides.
• Manage multiple training programs, including tracking attendance, scheduling courses, providing completion status, and measuring effectiveness of programs.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Training & Development, or other applicable specialties.
• A minimum of 3 years work experience in developing successful training programs (online and virtual), preferably in leadership development and HR compliance training.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Teams).
• Experience with developing online training.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with developing online training using Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate, or comparable software.
• Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS).
• Experience with designing, editing, and uploading materials into SharePoint 2016.
• Experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
• HR Generalist experience.
• Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) certification.
• Advanced degree in a related field.
