About the position

The HR IT Project Manager will oversee and lead various projects within the HR Technology portfolio, focusing on enhancing the employee experience through effective project management. This role involves managing projects of varying complexity that drive business value across multiple lines of business, reporting directly to the Director of HRT Program Management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project and portfolio management, particularly in areas such as Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Workforce Management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead HR Technology projects through activities including definition of scope, building realistic project plans, and monitoring project finances.
  • Build and manage resources, processes, systems, and controls for effective HRT program management.
  • Provide leadership for a multi-disciplinary delivery team to ensure successful implementation of key initiatives.
  • Engage and communicate proactively with stakeholders regarding project status, milestones, and operational planning considerations.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with business and IT peers and leaders.
  • Deliver software projects based on the portfolio roadmap and stakeholder expectations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in briefing key stakeholders on project delivery aspects.
  • Manage relationships with 3rd party vendors, including contract negotiations and invoice tracking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 3+ years of experience managing enterprise HR/Technology projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and MS Project
  • Detail-oriented with strong program and project management competencies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Project Management Professional
  • Certified Scrum Master and/or Product Owner
  • Prior PM experience managing HRT projects
  • Solution-oriented mindset
