About the position

The HR Manager / Benefits Specialist at Armand Corporation is responsible for overseeing various HR functions, particularly focusing on benefits administration within the construction industry. The position is full-time and on-site, aimed at supporting federal construction projects in New York and New Jersey.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and take ownership of operational HR functions and policies, including payroll processing and compliance tracking.
  • Oversee benefits administration and serve as a key knowledge resource on benefits programs.
  • Analyze current processes and workflows to identify areas of improvement.
  • Create and generate reports related to HR functions.
  • Maintain electronic personnel files to ensure legal compliance and manage records retention.
  • Administer employee information changes and ensure data integrity in HR systems.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of full-time experience in HR management, particularly in a construction setting.
  • Proven experience in employee benefits administration, payroll, and compliance.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and interpret HR policies and procedures.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS.

Nice-to-haves

  • An advanced degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Experience in a federal construction project environment.
