About the position

The Human Resources Manager will oversee all HR operations, ensuring they are executed smoothly and effectively. This role involves developing HR strategies, advising senior management, and managing programs to align HR needs with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HR management, a strategic mindset, and the ability to lead staff effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Executive team to formulate, develop, implement, and evaluate a Human Resources and Talent Management Strategy.
  • Engage in direct communication with the Executive team on key human resources matters.
  • Oversee recruitment efforts to ensure effective sourcing and selection of candidates.
  • Develop and drive talent management strategies for effective staffing alignment.
  • Create systems to attract talent and engage leadership in succession planning.
  • Identify ways to increase staff retention and productivity through employee engagement strategies.
  • Lead the administration of the performance management process and equip managers for effective feedback and coaching.
  • Mitigate potential legal risks through proactive training and clear conflict management processes.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant employment laws and ensure organizational compliance.
  • Ensure secure maintenance of employee files and records in compliance with laws.
  • Design and implement a competitive compensation system and benefits package.
  • Optimize and integrate HR technology for effective HR service delivery.
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of specialists and support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in payroll processing software (ADP).
  • Update the Employee Handbook and ensure compliance of policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or related field.
  • HRCI and/or SHRM Certification required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience partnering with senior leadership.
  • Experience supervising and developing staff.
  • Experience implementing talent management, compensation, and HR technology strategies.
  • Strong business acumen and leadership abilities.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and compliance issues.
  • Ability to provide strategic guidance and solve practical problems.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR system applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Food or Hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in payroll processing software (ADP).
