About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This role is crucial in supporting business needs and ensuring the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives. The HR Manager will act as a point of contact for employees, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures while fostering a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead talent acquisition efforts, including recruiting, interviewing, and selecting candidates to fill open positions.
  • Manage employee orientation programs to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the company culture.
  • Supervise HR staff, providing mentorship and support to enhance their professional development.
  • Negotiate employment offers and manage employee relations issues, including conflict management and resolution.
  • Present HR policies and procedures to employees, ensuring clear communication and understanding across the organization.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance HR functions and streamline operations.
  • Utilize Paychex or similar HR software for managing payroll, benefits administration, and employee records.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations while maintaining a fair workplace environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role with a strong understanding of HR functions.
  • Exceptional skills in talent acquisition, recruiting, and employee orientation processes.
  • Strong conflict management abilities with effective negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising teams and managing employee relations.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in using HR software such as Paychex for payroll management is highly desirable.
  • A degree in Human Resources Management or related field is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus; relevant experience in logistics are a plus.
