About the position

The HR Manager at J.R. Simplot Company is responsible for providing strategic and operational HR support to the Moses Lake manufacturing facility. This role involves collaborating with the Plant Director and management teams to enhance employee experience, drive HR outcomes, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations. The HR Manager acts as a change agent, focusing on continuous improvement in HR processes and workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute the people plan for the location to ensure a positive employee experience and compliance.
• Deliver HR activities and service delivery to both salaried and hourly employees.
• Implement engagement surveys and action planning based on results.
• Facilitate talent management and succession planning processes.
• Oversee compensation awarding, performance development, and disciplinary actions.
• Partner with managers to ensure effective individual performance management and adherence to policies.
• Provide coaching and counsel to managers on HR procedures and performance issues.
• Lead labor relations strategy and negotiations of collective bargaining agreements.
• Manage, coach, and develop direct reports to build future talent.
• Act as a positive HR leader within the region and across Global Food HR.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a 4-year college or university.
• 5+ years of related experience and/or training in Human Resources.
• Experience in Human Resources within a manufacturing setting is highly preferred.
