The HR Manager plays a crucial role in providing daily support and direction for human resources initiatives across multiple plant operations sites in the West Region. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as upholding ethical business practices. The HR Manager collaborates with specialized HR functions to deliver quality HR services that align with departmental and organizational goals and objectives. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including coordinating talent acquisition, employee development, compensation and benefits, and managing HRIS end-user functions on behalf of the assigned client groups. In this position, the HR Manager will manage the HR relationship with assigned client groups, focusing on workforce planning and consultation. The role involves addressing employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations when necessary, and working closely with the Employee Relations team to resolve concerns. The HR Manager will administer various HR plans and procedures, assist in developing and implementing policies, and maintain the policies database and Team Member Handbook. Additionally, the HR Manager will support various special HR projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall employee experience. The HR Manager will lead and participate in compensation studies and requests, addressing team member inquiries related to compensation while fostering a culture of reward and recognition. This role also involves directing benefit-related questions to the appropriate areas, providing support during open enrollment, and collaborating with managers and team members on leave and accommodation requests. The HR Manager will oversee the Hiring Request Form process, ensuring job descriptions are accurate and compensation studies are completed. Participation in recruiting strategy meetings and interviews is also a key aspect of this role, along with assisting in the administration of agency and contract workers. A continuous improvement mindset is essential, as the HR Manager will be expected to recommend new approaches and practices to enhance the efficiency of the department and the services provided. Maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment is a critical responsibility of this position, ensuring that all HR practices align with legal requirements and organizational standards.
