About the position

Atlas Trillo Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a proactive and team-oriented Human Resources Manager to join our dynamic team in San Jose, CA. As part of a leading national service provider, this role is pivotal in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The HR Manager will act as a liaison between management and employees, addressing inquiries, interpreting contracts, and facilitating conflict resolution. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of HR practices, including succession planning, payroll administration, and employee relations. In this role, you will provide comprehensive information to current and prospective employees regarding policies, job roles, benefits, and advancement opportunities. You will ensure accurate documentation of personnel changes and maintain updated employee files. Identifying and mitigating legal risks is crucial, as you will ensure compliance with EEO, ERISA, and Wage & Hour regulations. You will oversee employee complaint processes to uphold fairness and consistency, manage all aspects of the staffing process, and coordinate new employee orientation programs. Additionally, you will handle payroll processing and address benefit-related issues, communicate and implement policies and procedures aligning with company objectives, and collaborate with Division HR on succession planning and talent acquisition strategies. Conducting employee training sessions on benefits enrollment, harassment prevention, customer service, and related topics will also be part of your responsibilities. You will analyze turnover and compensation data for corporate reporting, uphold employee confidentiality, and respond to information requests while adhering to safety and company regulations.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or 3-5 years of HR generalist experience; professional HR certification preferred.
  • Prior experience in payroll administration is essential.
  • Familiarity with Ulti-Pro software is advantageous.
  • Proficient knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective relationship-building.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal abilities.
