About the position

The HR Manager at KeHE is responsible for partnering with Distribution Center leadership to support business priorities related to people and culture. This role focuses on ensuring employee engagement, productivity, and care within a fast-paced warehouse environment. The HR Manager will oversee various HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, policy administration, and compliance, while also acting as a coach and influencer for local management.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with DC leadership to support business priorities related to people and culture.
  • Focus on staffing and retention of hourly associates, improving the quality of hires.
  • Oversee new-hire offer process and orientation, and develop retention strategies for new hires.
  • Align HR processes, policies, and procedures with local management to support unique challenges.
  • Model behaviors congruent with KeHE's culture and coach local management.
  • Manage employee relations matters and conduct internal workplace investigations as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of day-to-day HR administration in line with compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with safety and risk management to ensure adherence to safety measures and workers' compensation administration.
  • Work with the legal department to respond to EEOC claims and other employment-related legal matters.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years HR Generalist experience.
  • Minimum 2-3 years HR Manager experience with at least one direct report.
  • Distribution and/or Manufacturing human resources experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • PHR/SPHR preferred.
  • Proven ability to interact with and influence across hourly associates and leadership.
  • Ability to work comfortably under pressure and handle multiple sensitive issues.
  • Capability of prioritizing and handling multiple projects under tight time constraints.
  • Experience leading others is preferred.
