The HR Manager will collaborate with AMST managers to create position descriptions, identify candidate sources, and develop effective sourcing strategies. They will also oversee employee relations matters, ensuring fair treatment and competitive compensation for all employees. The HR Manager will coach and advise management on resolving employee issues and will lead the design and improvement of the employee orientation program. Additionally, the HR Manager will support the annual HR cycle deliverables, including performance management, merit and bonus awards, and benefits enrollment. They will investigate employee issues and conflicts, providing resolutions and support to HR staff. The role requires a proactive approach to performance management, including creating job descriptions, developing career paths, and implementing succession planning. The HR Manager will also administer the company's compensation programs and provide guidance on benefits offerings, ensuring that employees are well-informed about their options.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with AMST managers to develop position descriptions and identify candidate sources.
  • Screen candidates, conduct employment interviews/assessments, and provide feedback on candidates.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies including industry networking and campus recruiting.
  • Collaborate with general managers to ensure HR practices are followed, including compliance and retention.
  • Oversee management of employee relations matters to ensure fair treatment and competitive wages.
  • Coach and advise management on resolving employee/management issues.
  • Assist in the design and improvement of the Employee orientation program.
  • Lead and support annual HR cycle deliverables including performance management and benefits enrollment.
  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution.
  • Provide support and guidance to HR staff.
  • Work with management to create job descriptions and develop career paths.
  • Administer the Company's base pay and incentive compensation program.

Requirements

  • BA or BS in HR or a related field, or equivalent experience instead of a degree.
  • 5 years or more experience in human resources.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is desired.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting while managing multiple projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Prior experience with ADP, Workday, and UKG/Kronos.
  • Competence in building and managing interpersonal relationships at all levels.
  • Knowledge of safety programs and OSHA requirements.
  • Understanding of employment law, including Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action guidelines.

Nice-to-haves

  • PHR or SPHR Certification is desirable.
