About the position

The Glenmont Job Corps center located near Albany, New York is actively seeking to immediately onboard a top-level Experienced HR Professional to run the Center Human Resources Department. The ideal candidate for the Human Resources Manager position has experience with HR functions to include recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, compliance, and staff training and development. The candidate should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence managers by providing support and guidance on HR-related matters. The most qualified candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information. As an HR Manager for Adams and Associates, Inc., at the Glenmont Job Corps Center, you will be responsible for the recruitment and selection of candidates for employment with an expectation to fill staff vacancies in a timely manner and maintain a vacancy rate at or below company standards. You will investigate and resolve staff complaints in accordance with company policies, develop and implement training programs including new hire orientation, and maintain a nondiscriminatory work environment ensuring equal treatment of all staff. Additionally, you will investigate or refer for investigation claims of harassment and/or discrimination, implement company EEO policies, and assist with the drafting of the Center's Annual Affirmative Action and Training Plans with a focus on attaining goals. Your role will also involve administering staff evaluation, merit, incentive, and bonus programs, maintaining HRIS and employee personnel files and other records, overseeing the preparation of HR reports, and conducting internal HR compliance audits. This position is crucial in ensuring that the HR department operates efficiently and effectively, supporting the overall mission of Adams and Associates to provide quality services to at-risk youth and children's programs.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school required.
  • A minimum of three years human resources management experience required.
  • Human Resources Certification preferred.
  • Department of Labor approval required.
