About The Position

ITW Specialty Films, a global division of ITW, is seeking a motivated HR Manager to support our manufacturing plant in Chicago Heights, IL. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture where team members can reach their full potential while serving as a trusted business partner to the site management team. The HR Manager will be responsible for all phases of the employee life cycle, including attracting, developing, and retaining talent. This position will act with autonomy and have a direct influence on leading site strategies while also being an integral member of our global HR team to support divisional initiatives. The HR Manager will report directly to the Division HR Director and will have the opportunity to grow and develop both professionally and personally. The HR Manager will partner with the Operations Manager and site management team on strategy, process improvements, and change management in alignment with the Division's objectives. This includes assisting with communication plans and organizational design. The role encompasses managing full-cycle talent acquisition activities for all non-exempt and exempt roles, supporting the onboarding experience, and advising on performance management cycles. Additionally, the HR Manager will participate in compensation planning, talent reviews, and employee engagement initiatives, while also leading Diversity & Inclusion efforts within the organization. This position requires a strong focus on employee relations, safety, and compliance with legal requirements. The HR Manager will manage employee relations situations and investigations, participate on the safety committee, and provide technical and analytical support in relation to employee benefits administration and HRIS system maintenance. The role also involves processing payroll bi-weekly and managing FMLA, STD, ADA, and Workers Compensation cases. The HR Manager will maintain knowledge of legal requirements and ensure that policies and procedures are compliant, regularly reviewing the HR Handbook in alignment with the US HR Team.
