About the position

The Human Resources Onboarding Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating the onboarding process for new employees at Nor-Lea Hospital District. This position is responsible for ensuring that new hires are effectively integrated into the organization by providing them with essential information about the company’s culture, mission, vision, and values. The Onboarding Specialist will guide new employees through the orientation process, which includes familiarizing them with the AIDET framework and other general information necessary for their roles. Additionally, the specialist will assist new hires with completing all required paperwork, education, and health requirements, ensuring a smooth transition into their new positions. In this role, the Onboarding Specialist will also maintain employment records related to various employment events such as hiring, terminations, leaves, transfers, and promotions. This involves utilizing human resources management system software to keep accurate and up-to-date records. The specialist will be responsible for processing hiring-related paperwork, verifying I-9 documentation, and ensuring that all documentation is current. They will also submit online investigation requests and manage background checks for new employees, ensuring compliance with organizational policies. Conducting exit interviews is another key responsibility of the Onboarding Specialist, as they will ensure that all necessary termination paperwork is completed accurately. The specialist will also perform audits of the HR system to verify the accuracy of records and processes, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the HR department. Responsibilities

  • Assist with onboarding new employees to the organization.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in Human Resources is required.
  • Expertise in maintaining accurate notes and records.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and ethical conduct.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with human resources management system software.
  • Knowledge of AIDET framework and onboarding best practices.
