About The Position

Your role is critical in partnering with the business to develop and execute our people initiatives. This position involves coordinating, implementing, and driving the hiring process by working closely with hiring managers to ascertain departmental needs, level new positions, draft and post job descriptions, source and screen candidates, identify qualified applicants, schedule interviews, draft and extend job offers to candidates, and close successful candidates by driving the completion of applicable pre-employment testing and background checks, including assessing the results thereof. Additionally, you will partner with EHS to proactively address improvements to our safety culture and assist with managing and monitoring Workers Compensation claims. You will manage the leave of absence process by guiding employees on how to file a claim to receive company and state benefits during the leave period; document, certify and approve leaves of absence; partner with managers to plan for employees' leave and return to work; and liaise between ITT's benefits administrator, Payroll, and employees during their leaves of absence. Conducting thorough and objective investigations into employee complaints or concerns will also be part of your responsibilities, making recommendations on the appropriate course of action for resolution, and drafting comprehensive reports on investigation findings and outcomes as needed. In this role, you will execute assigned projects, including merit reviews, Workday audits, and compliance training. You will consult with managers regarding personnel-related issues, including administering coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans. Drafting and communicating engaging organizational announcements that provide employees with useful updates on HR services and business information is also essential. You will manage the exit interview process, identify opportunities and areas of concern requiring follow-up, and make recommendations on HR process improvements. Facilitating the new employee orientation and onboarding process, ensuring support to both managers and employees as part of the new hire process, and counseling employees on the correct interpretation and application of company programs, policies, and processes will be key aspects of your role. Finally, you will maintain HR files and records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of all employee information, lead employee engagement initiatives, and prepare organizational communications for the site.
