About the position

The HR Operations Manager II for US Leave & Disability Benefits at TD Bank is responsible for leading a team that manages leave of absence and disability benefits operational functions. This role involves providing subject matter expertise, guidance, and leadership to ensure effective process workflows, regulatory compliance, and the achievement of professional development objectives. The manager will oversee a diverse team, handle complex transactions, and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to deliver optimal customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team managing leave of absence and disability benefits operational functions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and operational guidance to ensure excellent results.
  • Manage employee performance, set goals, and promote teamwork within the team.
  • Oversee complex transactions involving multiple systems and jurisdictions.
  • Act as the highest point of escalation for team issues and provide direction for resolution.
  • Monitor service and control standards against business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Coordinate activities with HR, Technology, Finance, and Risk Management teams.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in HR operations or related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
  • Proven experience in relationship management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • People management experience is required.
  • Broad knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
