About the position

The HR Legal Operations Manager will be responsible for optimizing the day-to-day operations and HR functions of a leading family law firm in New Jersey. This role is crucial for ensuring that all processes, policies, and people align with the organization's goals and values, fostering a positive workplace culture and improving operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management and human resources, with a focus on developing effective systems and a culture of accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for HR functions.
  • Lead initiatives to train and develop managers in emotional intelligence, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Manage and enhance the employee bonus system to ensure engagement and effectiveness.
  • Oversee the refinement and management of the employee review system for streamlined performance evaluations.
  • Manage employee benefits administration and ensure compliance with ADA and CDC guidelines.
  • Serve as the primary contact for HR-related questions and updates.
  • Oversee the deployment of Paylocity features for onboarding, surveys, and performance reviews.
  • Develop and maintain clear policy documents and training materials for diverse audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management and/or human resources, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement SOPs, training programs, and performance management systems.
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems, particularly Paylocity, and experience in benefits administration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on emotional intelligence.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of accountability and engagement within an organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with ADA compliance, CDC guidelines, and employment law.
