This position is ideal for an individual with broad HR generalist experience who thrives in fast-paced settings and enjoys working independently to create and implement HR strategies and programs. The role focuses on managing processes and projects rather than overseeing people, with an emphasis on supporting a nonexempt hourly workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and managing HR operations across the company
  • Oversee and develop HR policies and programs, including benefits, compensation, and employee relations
  • Support new initiatives, such as a benefits program rollout across the portfolio
  • Work closely with local managers, who are the first point of contact for day-to-day employee issues
  • Provide strategic guidance on escalated HR issues, such as terminations or investigations
  • Collaborate with HR payroll admin and other departments to streamline processes
  • Lead the development of a more structured HR helpdesk function (inbox management, SLAs)
  • Manage HR projects, with potential for people management as the team grows
  • Support the business with HR strategy development, focusing on scalable solutions for the growing workforce
  • Primarily work with a nonexempt hourly workforce, helping to create programs and policies tailored to their needs

Requirements

  • 3+ years of broad HR generalist experience, ideally in a startup, PE-backed or multi-company structure
  • Experience developing benefits plans, working with brokers and overseeing open enrollment
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a comfort level in managing ambiguity and creating solutions from scratch
  • Previous experience in hospitality, travel or similar industries would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of Paylocity or similar HR systems is a plus but not required
  • Hands-on HR professional who can help build out HR functions from the ground up
  • Comfortable with hybrid work (Mon-Wed in-office) and able to flex as needed based on business demands
  • Self-starter who enjoys working independently but can also collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in hospitality, travel or similar industries would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of Paylocity or similar HR systems is a plus but not required
