About the position

The HR Operations Manager will be responsible for optimizing the day-to-day operations and HR functions of our client, a New Jersey-based professional services firm. This role is crucial in ensuring that the HR department runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the organization. The HR Operations Manager will oversee various HR functions, including benefits administration, onboarding, training, employee engagement, performance management, and compliance. The position requires a strategic mindset to refine and manage standard operating procedures (SOPs) and enhance the employee experience through effective reward systems and performance management processes. In this role, the HR Operations Manager will collect and consolidate existing SOPs, ensuring that they are up-to-date and reflect best practices. The manager will also be responsible for refining and managing the onboarding and training processes, ensuring that new hires are effectively integrated into the company culture and equipped with the necessary skills to succeed. Additionally, the HR Operations Manager will manage employee engagement initiatives, focusing on creating a positive work environment that fosters productivity and satisfaction. The position also involves reviewing and refining job descriptions to ensure they align with the organizational structure and support talent acquisition efforts. The HR Operations Manager will oversee benefits administration and compliance, ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant regulations and provides competitive benefits to employees. Furthermore, the manager will lead recruiting and talent acquisition efforts, working closely with hiring managers to identify and attract top talent to the organization. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively manage HR systems and payroll, particularly using Paylocity, to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in operations management and/or human resources, preferably in a leadership role
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience developing and implementing SOPs, training programs, and performance management systems
  • Knowledge of HR systems and experience with benefits administration
