About the position

The Arena Group is seeking a talented HR Operations Project Manager to enhance our People & HR strategy. This full-time position is based in our newly launched Midtown Manhattan office, where you will be the face of HR, ensuring a welcoming work environment for all employees. Your role will involve assisting, ideating, and executing key HR responsibilities throughout the year, including benefit enrollment, performance management, and leave reporting. You will also be responsible for various projects as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the HR team. In this role, you will disseminate important information regarding policy changes, benefits updates, and training to various teams across the organization. You will provide general administrative support, such as arranging meetings, preparing reports, and tracking deadlines to streamline HR processes. Additionally, you will assist with new hire orientations and employee termination processes for both on-site and remote employees, ensuring a smooth transition for all parties involved. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with Arena leadership and personnel to meet team needs and maintain employee engagement efforts. You will act as a liaison with insurance carriers, fostering effective relationships and providing customer service by addressing employee inquiries related to HR programs and initiatives. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining employee files, executing seasonal HR tasks, and initiating front office and social programs to enhance the company culture. Responsibilities

  • Disseminate information and news such as policy changes, benefits updates, training, classification, and compensation updates to various teams across Arena.
  • Provide general administrative support such as arranging meetings, preparing reports/documents, and tracking deadlines with various leaders and stakeholders.
  • Assist with new hire orientation and employee termination processes for both on-site and remote employees.
  • Collaborate with all Arena leadership and personnel to ensure that team needs are met and employee engagement efforts are maintained.
  • Act as a liaison with various insurance carriers and foster effective relationships with client representatives.
  • Perform customer service functions by answering ad-hoc employee requests and questions related to HR/People programs, functions, and initiatives.
  • Complete I-9 related duties as assigned, including verifying approved I-9 documentation and maintaining I-9 files.
  • Help execute seasonal HR responsibilities such as benefit enrollment, performance management, and leave reporting.
  • Assist in maintaining employee files and ensuring that personnel files are up-to-date.
  • Initiate front office and social programs for employees, and act as a cultural ambassador for Arena.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in human resources or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Stellar organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
  • HRIS experience is a plus.
