About the position

The HR Payroll & Benefit Specialist at Cosmax is responsible for managing payroll processes and benefits administration, ensuring accurate and timely payroll payments, and providing excellent service to employees and clients. This role involves auditing payroll documents, assisting with open enrollment, and maintaining records related to payroll and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit weekly payroll using ADP to produce accurate payroll payments by ensuring that time and attendance reports balance to imported pay data batches.
  • Prepare and calculate off-cycle payments for pay card funding and accurately prepare work under established department procedures.
  • Audit payroll source documents to ensure receipt of appropriate approvals.
  • Perform self and peer review to ensure accurate data entry and maintain database integrity (PTO, OT Disability, LOA, etc).
  • Assist with annual Open Enrollment and accurately keep records.
  • Apply all benefit selections offered by the company to eligible employees and maintain records; audit and submit benefit vendor's invoices for payment every month.
  • Provide timely, knowledgeable, and courteous payroll service to internal and external customers and clients.
  • Additional duties may include but are not limited to processing union payments and providing support and serving as the backup to fellow Payroll Specialists.
  • Answer staff questions about wages, deductions, attendance, and time records.
  • Lead and participate in relevant HR projects assigned by HR leadership and directorship.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years HR payroll and Benefit operation in HR department, preferable in a multi-site environment.
  • Must possess a solid understanding of payroll and benefits practices.
  • Proven track record of excellent employee and customer service.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Report writing skills and competency preferred.
  • Must be Bilingual in Korean or Spanish.
