About the position

The HR Payroll & Benefits Coordinator at ACO, Inc. is responsible for coordinating human resources activities across multiple manufacturing facilities, focusing on payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations. This role emphasizes supporting local employment processes and driving the company's core values while ensuring compliance with legal requirements and maintaining confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information.

Responsibilities

  • Administer comprehensive companywide payroll (ADP WFN) and wage garnishments.
  • Manage companywide benefits, workers compensation, and leave management.
  • Handle unemployment claims and assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Oversee employment leave processes, including Workers Compensation and Family Medical Leave.
  • Maintain employment documentation controls with a high level of confidentiality.
  • Assist with return to work and accommodation processes.
  • Support the hiring process, including background checks, salary negotiations, and issuing job confirmation letters.
  • Coordinate and conduct employee engagement and relations activities, including counseling and new employee orientation.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding organizational processes, policies, and programs.
  • Identify potential employee-relations issues and report concerns to HR management.
  • Investigate grievance reports and support HR management in claims of harassment or policy violations.

Requirements

  • Mid-level experience in HR and payroll administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
