About the position

The HR & Payroll Manager at Newtron L.L.C. is responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, time entry, and PTO management. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely payroll operations while adhering to company policies and collaborating with site administrators and payroll teams. The position requires a strong understanding of payroll systems and accounting principles to facilitate efficient HR operations.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter daily timesheets and verify employee PTO requests.
  • Upload client time data into NGBS software and review time entries for accuracy.
  • Run reports to identify and correct payroll issues, addressing discrepancies in total hours.
  • Ensure all active employees have their time recorded and paid correctly, verifying additional pay types as needed.
  • Submit weekly payroll data to NGI Payroll by the designated deadline and manage check distribution.
  • Facilitate payroll corrections and ensure data integrity in NGBS.
  • Process pay-rate changes and verify records before finalizing changes.
  • Verify termination slips and ensure proper documentation is maintained in employee files.
  • Reconcile and process payout of PTO for terminated employees and collaborate with HR on benefits updates.
  • Provide support to site administrators and assist with onboarding new hires.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of debits, credits, and account reconciliation processes.
  • Experience with ADP or similar payroll systems is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze data effectively for informed decision-making.
  • Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of general ledger accounting principles is beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with effective communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in HR management or payroll processing in a similar industry.
  • Familiarity with labor laws and regulations regarding payroll and employee benefits.
