About the position

The HR/Payroll Specialist at ISEE Career Solutions, Inc. plays a crucial role in managing the payroll and timekeeping systems for the organization. This position involves the new hire and re-hire entry of employees into the payroll systems, ensuring that all employee data is accurately captured and maintained. The specialist will also be responsible for the termination of employees in the payroll systems, ensuring that all final payments and necessary documentation are processed correctly. Payroll is processed bi-weekly, and the specialist will need to have experience with the KRONOS Payroll system to effectively manage this task. In addition to payroll processing, the HR/Payroll Specialist will assist Agricultural staff with onboarding and payroll tasks, which includes sending and collecting engagement forms, manual timecards, and termination forms. The role requires reviewing and approving timecards for all MDFC employees, managing accruals and leave time, and setting up Wisely Pay cards for employees. The specialist will also be involved in the quarter and year-end closing processes, including the approval of W-2 forms and the 12th of the month census reporting. The position requires a strong understanding of payroll taxes and the ability to calculate and enter salary increases as needed. The specialist will create and process additional supplemental or correction payrolls and assign holidays yearly in the timekeeping system. Maintaining employee confidentiality and adhering to company policies, including safety and sanitation rules, is essential. The HR/Payroll Specialist will also complete various administrative tasks and reports in a timely manner, ensuring that all payroll-related activities are conducted efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

  • New hire and re-hire entry of employees into the timekeeping and payroll systems
  • Termination of employees in the timekeeping and payroll systems
  • Process payroll every two weeks
  • Assist Ag staff with Harvest Employee Onboarding and Payroll
  • Review and approve timecards for all MDFC employees
  • Quarter and Year End Closing Process and approve W-2
  • 12th of the Month Census Reporting
  • Manage accruals and leave time
  • Set up and assign Wisely Pay cards
  • Employment verifications
  • Transition employees in timekeeping and payroll to Inter Campaign and back to Campaign
  • Calculate and entry of June 1 Increases and September 1 Increases
  • Create and process additional supplemental/correction payrolls as needed
  • Assign holidays yearly in timekeeping
  • Complete administrative tasks, duties, and reports as required in a timely manner
  • Maintain employee confidentiality
  • Adhere to all company policies and all safety, food safety, feed safety, and sanitation rules and programs
  • Other duties as required by the business

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Accounting with five years of payroll experience or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with three years of experience
  • Strong knowledge of payroll and payroll taxes
  • Experience working with a Union
  • Organized with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cohesively with employees at all levels
  • Ability to multitask
  • Embrace teamwork
  • Knowledge of Kronos, DocLink
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including advanced Excel experience
