The HR/Payroll Specialist at Ipsen USA plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. This position is responsible for overseeing payroll operations, which includes the calculation and delivery of payroll, tax filing, and the generation of various reports in accordance with company policies and procedures. The HR/Payroll Specialist collaborates closely with the internal HR team and interacts directly with associates and managers to address payroll-related inquiries and issues. This role requires a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail, as it involves handling sensitive employee information. In this position, the HR/Payroll Specialist will manage the payroll processing for all employees, ensuring that all transactions within the HRM system are reviewed, approved, and followed up on in a timely manner. This includes new hire entries, job and compensation changes, transfers, terminations, tax withholding, and timekeeping. The specialist will also be responsible for developing and producing all required payroll reports, ensuring that the information provided is accurate, meaningful, and timely for various internal and external partners. Additionally, the HR/Payroll Specialist will assist with the administration of the 401(k) plan, including service tickets, funding, reporting, and auditing. This role acts as a technical resource for HR and other departments, addressing and resolving inquiries related to payroll and HRM system functions. Training new and existing employees on HRM system processes and capabilities is also a key responsibility. The specialist will interpret company policies and government regulations affecting payroll procedures and will complete special projects as assigned, while maintaining technical competency and staying current with industry changes.
