About the position

The HR People Director at East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC) is responsible for providing strategic leadership in talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and change management. This role requires collaboration with various leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives, ensuring a positive employee experience and effective management of human resources across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent treatment across the organization.
• Lead and maintain a thorough and well-documented investigative process for employee relations.
• Develop professional, comprehensive, unbiased written reports on investigations.
• Provide guidance on Human Resources policies and practices to all staff.
• Create infrastructure and training around proactive employee relations initiatives.
• Manage a full life cycle recruiting desk, including communication and interview coordination.
• Assess candidates to ensure qualification match and align with client's needs.
• Partner with employees to drive culture and engagement initiatives.
• Design and roll out feedback programs like employee surveys and check-ins.
• Oversee the HR Generalist, Training and Safety to design and facilitate training programs.
• Create and manage a sustainable Performance Management program.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience in multiple disciplines.
• 2+ years handling investigations in HR.
• Solid experience with talent acquisition and employee engagement.
• Experience in Diversity and Inclusion, Performance Management, and Training Safety.
• Strong partnership-building skills across functional teams and leadership levels.
• Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage large projects.
